In which the website's most recent alterations are revealed 20 Aug 2005: The long drought is over! Added iUniverse to the conventional publishing page, and OneLook to the online tools page. Tweaked the site map a bit (specifically, added a few more intra-site links). 8 Apr 2005: Added Tor Books to the conventional publishing page. Also a new Rant, on titles. 13 Mar 2005: The conventional publishing page now has information on an interesting outfit called Tate Publishing. Beefed up the site map with sub-page-specific individual links. 7 Jan 2005: Three things. One: Something new for the conventional publishing page -- a section on magazines. Two: A search box to the site map page; this may not be all that necessary right now, but as the site grows, it may become quite valuable in future... Three: The about me page now has a link to a site where you can buy T-shirts, cards, and posters I've designed. Self-promotion, you say? Why... yes, actually. 2 Jan 2005: The first update of the new year! Specifically, a new Rant on things every serious writer should know about, and some much-needed additions to the site map. Also some minor tweaking to various pages. 15 Dec 2004: Every author's name has been transformed into a clickable link which brings up (in a separate window) the results of an Amazon.com search for that author; every book title is a link that brings up a window (most likely Amazon.com as well) from which one can purchase said book. Also, I've added a page on offline tools -- i.e., books that writers will find useful and/or vital. 8 Dec 2004: Added a section on self-publishing to the conventional publishing page. 18 Nov 2004: Tweaked the site's navigation, hopefully for the better. Added a new section, Rants, in which I'm going to offer up biased pontification about whatever writing-related topic has caught my fancy at the time -- and which will hopefully make you think about your own writing. Also added the Turkey City Lexicon, a collection of comments about science-fiction in specific and the craft of Writing in general. 31 Oct 2004: Tweaked the conventional publishing page. Added more data on publishers, including a new section on comic book publishers. 28 Oct 2004: First modification: I got in bed with Google. There's a search box on the Tools page, good for this site or the Net at large; every page now has text ads which should be (a) relatively unobtrusive, and (b) relevant to the content of their respective pages. 26 Oct 2004: The site is uploaded to an unsuspecting world. It contains the first editions of: This page, the home page, the site map, my advice on writing fiction, info on tools that writers will find useful, advice on conventional and internet publishing, and some words about me. |
